I was noticing the education of Mr. Masson and since this is called the PlymouthTruth I decided to bring a mistake to the attention of Mr. Dan Tyree and Dr. John Hill. On the Indiana Professional Standards Board where licenses are available to everyone I noticed Mr. Masson is certified to teach World Civilization, Government, and United States History. His license does not show that he is qualified to teach Geography. Since he is teaching quite a few Geography classes which Mr. Ben Waymouth taugh last year it might be important that he has his license. I have heard he is only filling in temporarily and has not been hired officially so this is probably not a problem. I have heard some really good things about his teaching and believe he is more than capable of teaching Geography. As a citizen of Plymouth I am a little concerned about the hiring techniques Plymouth Community Schools is choosing to follow. I am assuming Mr. Dan Tyree and Dr. John Hill did not mean to make this mistake, but then again I have been told not assume anything!

The number of college level geography classes Mr. Mason has taken qualifies him for a limited license in geography. In November Mr. Mason will qualify for a regular license in geography. Please note the Indiana professional web site does not show those licenses of those individuals who have applied for a limited license.

So, in essence, you are saying that Mr. Masson currently has applied for and has received a limited license in Geography. There is a big difference between someone who is qualified and someone who actually has the license itself.

The Indiana Professional web site might not show those people who have a limited license, but there are other ways of finding out.

I don't understand why "anonymous" chooses to question Mr. Masson's abilities. I had him for class last year and he was a great teacher. Go to the high school and ask if you can watch him teach, but stop calling his abilities into question. It's not fair to him.

By the way, your spelling is terrible.

To anonymous #2: Anonymous #1 did not question Mr. Masson's abilities, only his qualifications. Secondly, at least, anonymous #1 spelled Mr. Masson's name correctly. That's more than I can say for the administrative response.
