PHS Swim Team Results

This past week on Thursday and Saturday, the girls PHS Swim Team swam their conference meet at Northridge High School. The Pilgrims placed 5th overall in the finals meet with over 10 personal best times, while other swimmers achieved lifetime bests. Senior captain Kenzie Miller led the team in the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays both of which placed 5th in Saturdays finals. She swam the 200 individual medley in a time of 2:05.75 breaking both the conference meet record as well as the Northridge pool record. In the 100 backstroke she broke both records again with a time of :56. 23 to also get the PHS team record! Congratulations Kenzie! Senior captain Hannah Eads also contributed to the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays as well as swimming a season best in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:11. Senior Katelynn Brashere swam a season best in 200 medley relay as well as a personal best in the 100 fly with a time of 1:08 in Saturday’s finals. Junior Alayna Holmquest placed 9th in diving overall to help the team move forward in the finals. Junior Katelyn Brown had a lifetime best in both the 500 freestyle with a time of 6:11 and 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:21 to also lead the Pilgrims to their conference finish. Sophomore Megan Senter swam a lifetime best in the 500 free with a time of 6:07, while Ella Portteus also swam lifetime bests in the 100 backstroke and 500 freestyle. Finally, freshman Lexi Fetters dropped 2 seconds in the 100 fly to get a time of 1:15 while Kaley Brower broke her season records in the 50 and 100 free to get personal bests. Congratulations ladies! Senior night is this Tuesday at home-come support the seniors!
