2 Hour Delay
There will be a 2-hour delay on Thursday, January 10. Many of our country roads are water-covered and dangerous. The delay will allow bus drivers and other drivers to navigate the roads more safely.

The roads this morning were easy to navigate... when they were actually open. Everything was closed off near the school, therefore there was no way to even get to the school. Students were more than an hour late, therefore was there really even point in having school?
With all of the rain and precipitation that will be building up in flooded areas, there is absolutely NO reason for students to travel to school tomorrow. The NOAA has already predicted another few feet added onto what is already flooded, therefore it will actually read commercial property. When we are starting to actually worry about the condition of buildings, then its in our best interest to cancel school and make sure the students are safe... and aren't stuck in traffic for forever.
I like the job and changes that have been happening around PHS as well as the other school, and I know you guys get a lot of negative feedback when something bad happens, but I am really glad you guys actually read comments and understand when something needs to be done. I will be looking forward to seeing how the rest of the year will play out, considering the number of days we have missed.
