PHS Band & Choir Tour Washington, D.C.
The band and choir recently completed their tour of WashingtonD.C. The music students were able to tour ArlingtonNationalCemetery, the U.S. Capitol Building, Smithsonian Museums, Mount Vernon, Washington and LincolnMonuments, and the war memorials (including the Vietnam Wall, Korean War Memorial and Wall, and the World War 2 Memorial.
The band represented the State of Indiana in the National Memorial Day Parade through the heart of Washington, and the choir performed as part of the Naval Memorial wreath laying ceremonies. WashingtonD.C. had a record-high heat index on Memorial Day and the kids did an amazing job of dealing with the heat during the performances.
Congratulations to all of the music students that represented our community and state at this national event.
