Plymouth Spell Bowl Team 4th in State


The Plymouth Spell Bowl Team finished 4th in the State with a score of 74 and just 3 points away from 2nd place. Coach Amy Schmeltz was very pleased with their performance. "It was their highest score of the season. They are a very young team, so we hope to be here again next year." Near perfect spellers were Zach Mahan and Elizabeth Oviedo. Perfect spellers were Grace Stokes, Nate Mahan, Kelsey Schnieders, and Pauline Dagaas. Ten spellers perform at state with the other students serving as alternates. The spellers for Plymouth were Elizabeth Oviedo, Dana Hall, Krissy Wieringa, Nate Mahan, Zach Mahan, Ashley Stokes, Pauline Dagaas, Kelsey Schnieders, Abby Schumacher, and Grace Stokes. Plymouth's alternates were Tori Godwin, Dakota Bradley, Olivia Houin, Angel Figueroa, Rachel Garcia, and Zandra Norris. The team would also like to thank everyone for their support.
