CURRENT PHS STUDENTS AND PARENTS ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES

On January 20, 2010, Plymouth High School will hold a Freshmen Orientation Program for current eighth graders and opportunities for the parents of current high school students to conference with teachers.

The Freshmen Orientation meeting is designed to create a smooth transition from junior high to high school. At 6:00 p.m. parents/students will have an opportunity to visit departmental displays and speak with staff members in the cafeteria. At 6:30 p.m., a meeting will be held in the auditorium featuring representatives from the administration and athletic department who will discuss school policies, trimester block scheduling; and opportunities and goals for the incoming freshmen. School Counselors will provide information on graduation requirements and course selection for the 2010-2011 school year. After the meeting, eighth graders and parents will be offered tours of the school by PHS students.

Parent Teacher Conferences for current PHS students will begin at 6:30 p.m. and end at 8:30 p.m. Teachers will pre-schedule conferences from 6:30 p.m. – 7:45 p.m. Opportunities for parents to “walk in” and conference with teachers will be offered from 7:45 p.m.-8:30 p.m. All conferences will be held in individual teacher’s classrooms.
