Blog Bits

About 9:00 a.m. the high school notified the central office that band students were complaining about irritating air quality in the high school’s north parking lot. Parents were notified, the nurse attended to students, and with permission from parents, some students were allowed to go home. The Police Chief, Jim Cox, indicated that a Plymouth factory was emitting a chemical that would only cause irritation of the nose, eyes, and throat. In order to safeguard our students, we are keeping them inside the rest of the day. Chief Cox said a representative of IDEM has been called to investigate the situation.
