Weather for Monday, February 21

This morning we were on the roads and they were fine at 6:00 AM when our bus routes start. At approximately 6:30 it started raining ice. It was too late to cancel school and I am pleased to announce that students got to school without any accidents.

At approximately 11:45 AM it started raining ice again. It was too dangerous to release school during these conditions. The weather services have all reported that by the time of our regular release, the roads should be snow-covered, and a safer time to release students.

Because the weather is predicted to be bad tonight, we have canceled all after-school activities.

Wow really? 4 schools in our own county decide to delay and Plymouth does not even delay?!? Their should have been at least a 2 hr delay this morning, espically since Faith Acadamy-Plymouth, delayed. 'Oh the road conditions were not that bad' haha yeah reporting from who? Did the school district even take time to look and see what the rest of the day was gunna be bringing on Monday? Probably not because you guys think that too many days have been missed? thats what I have been hearing. I understand that school district such as Argos and Triton are more rural that what Plymouth is, but when a plymouth school (faith baptist academy-Plymouth) delays, don't you think that the community schools should be delayed as well?

i totally agree,i fell sorry for the school because they got a lot of people complaining about having a 2 hr delay. lot of people are getting in accidents and the school don't have to pay for it so they don't care. But things would be totally different if one on the accidents where severe!!! But they are going to what to that happens to change or do anything about it. Its really sad to say

I hope those two comments weren't from Plymouth High School graduates.

I totally agree with you anonymous. In my mind, this is what I am seeing. Has their been and accidents to/from school reported? No. Although their has not been any reported, what about slide offs that go unreported? or fishtailing everywhere. For how much I like Plymouth Schools, I hate talking like this but I have got to say that this school district will not take other matters until something has happened. by that time it will be to late.
