Once again, Plymouth elementary schools have been honored as the top Title I schools in the State of Indiana. Plymouth received word yesterday that both Menominee and Washington Elementary Schools are in the top 7 for Title I School of the Year. Both were chosen for closing the achievement gap in the sub-group populations. This means that all sub-groups in their schools are achieving. Both principals will undergo a telephone interview. After the telephone interview, several schools will be chosen to have an on-site interview. Once the interview is completed, the top school will be chosen.
This year the top Title I school will be honored in Washington DC at the National Title I Conference. This is the same award that Webster Elementary received last year.
Great job Menominee and Washington!
