Plymouth High School was represented well in the Northern Indiana District Speech Contest at Chesterton on Saturday. Rotarian Dan Tyree dusted off his speech coaching responsibilities and took three students to compete in the contest. Rebecca Moberly won $400 in the Four-Way Oratory Contest by placing first. Bryt Hiatt won $200 in the Impromptu contest by placing second. Cam Robertson won $100 by placing fourth in the oratory contest. Mr. Tyree was impressed with the preparation of the students and gives much of the praise to the PHS Speech Coaches. "The students are well prepared to speak in any situation. This is the skill that gives them the edge when they leave Plymouth High School." Speech Coach Carol Anders and former team member Greg Anders served as Plymouth Rotary judges for the contest.
