As we approach the holidays, Plymouth Community School Corporation would like to thank everyone out there who has given their time or dollars to help our schools and our students. During the last few years as money has been tight, our community has continued to support Plymouth Schools. Also, at this time I think it's important to acknowledge how giving our students and staff are to help their fellow students, staff, community, and Hoosiers in need. As of December 18, Plymouth staff and students have given $36,091.26 toward several different local causes. Isn't it a wonderful place to live!

Riverside Ecology Goes Green
The Ecology Club at Riverside Intermediate School continues to Go Green! The fifth and sixth grade members of the club, under the direction of the sponsors, Mrs. Tillie Kain and Mrs. Jill Montgomery, have undertaken a new project in conjunction with a recycling company from southern Indiana. The student members of the club want to purchase benches for the front of the school. These benches would be used by students who get dropped off early in the morning or who are waiting to be picked up after their after school activities. The club did some investigating and found this Indiana company that makes benches by recycling lids from all types of plastic bottles. The cost of the benches is lower if the students collect the plastic lids that will be used to make the benches. Riverside students are asking the community to help them collect plastic lids from milk cartons, water bottles…any type of plastic lid. The students are also collecting old ink jet cartridges and cell phones which can be sold to an electronics recycling company to help cover costs. Thank you in advance for helping Riverside students Go Green! Working together we can make a difference for Planet Earth!
